Signs & Symptoms
A person may be experiencing aphasia if he/she demonstrates any of the following signs or symptoms:
- shows poor reliability of 'Yes/No' responses
- appears to be confused when spoken to
- does not consistently and accurately follow one-step instructions
- speech is telegraphic with errors, or is unable to talk altogether
- has significant word-finding difficulty
- speaks in gibberish that no one understands
