“Stuttering contributes to a negative psycho-social impact on individuals, limiting their opportunities at careers and job interviews as well as their performance in presentations.

Some individuals become withdrawn and develop a fear towards communicating with others. A sense of isolation often develops. As a result of their speech impediment, some may choose careers that do not require much human interaction, although this may not be their true preference.”
